Effect of P2R antagonist on the phosphorylation of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) in poly(I:C)-treated NCI-H292 cells. Suramin was added 30 min before 10 μg/ml poly(I:C) treatment in NCI-H292 cells. After 4 h, whole cell lysates were obtained. a, b Phosphorylation of EGFR or ERK1/2 was evaluated with immunoblotting. Band intensity was assessed with densitometry. c, d Relative intensity was calculated by dividing the phosphorylated EGFR or ERK1/2 band intensity by the EGFR or ERK1/2 band intensity and the results were indicated as fold induction over control. The data are expressed as the mean ± SEM for three to four separate experiments. *p < 0.05, ***p < 0.001 compared with the values of vehicle-treated control
