Experimental Design for exposing adult male AKR mice to RSV and V 2 O 5 . A pilot group of mice received an intranasal exposure to RSV or media vehicle alone to test for infection in the lungs at day 4. All other histopathology and gene expression endpoints listed were assessed at 21 days following intranasal exposure to RSV (6 × 105 PFU) and/or V2O5 (4 mg/kg) as described in Methods.
